DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LUSHOTO

Upon arrival at Lushoto Bus Terminal, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your selected accommodation.

Settle in and enjoy the cool mountain climate, with optional short walks around the town depending on your arrival time.

DAY 2: KISASA WATERFALLS & JAVA VIEW POINT HIKE

Duration: 6–7 hours
Distance: ~20 km

Begin your day with a scenic hike directly from your accommodation, passing through vibrant villages surrounded by rolling hills and fertile farmland. Along the way, experience the rich biodiversity of the Usambara Mountains, including sightings of the famous Usambara chameleons and a chance to learn about local medicinal plants from your guide.

Continue your journey to the beautiful Kisasa Waterfalls, where you can relax, take photos, and enjoy the refreshing natural surroundings.

From the waterfalls, proceed through a picturesque valley dotted with farms and traditional homes as you make your way toward Java View Point (1,300m).

En route, visit a local producer of traditional sugarcane brew and gain insight into rural livelihoods and cultural practices.

At Java View Point, take in spectacular panoramic views over the vast Maasai Plains, Mazinde town, and the historic German sisal plantations stretching across the lowlands.

After soaking in the views, continue to Irente Farm Restaurant for a delicious hot farm lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients.

Following lunch, enjoy a relaxed walk back to Lushoto town or your accommodation.
