Trip Itinerary
DAY 1 : ARRIVAL AT LUSHOTO
Upon arrival at Lushoto Bus Terminal, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your selected accommodation.
Take time to relax and enjoy the cool mountain climate as you prepare for the adventure ahead. Dinner will be served at your lodge.

CULTURAL EXPERIENCE, FOREST HIKE & KISASA WATERFALSS ADVENTURE
Approx distance: 17 km
Hiking hours: 6/7 hours
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Magamba Village, the starting point of your day’s adventure.
Local Beer Experience (Approx. 1 hour)
Begin your tour with a unique cultural visit to local brewers. Learn how freshly harvested sugarcane is crushed to produce a naturally sweet juice widely appreciated for its refreshing and health benefits. You will also witness the traditional fermentation process used to produce local beer with an opportunity to taste each stage of production.
Hike through Mkussu Forest to Vuli Peak
From the village, embark on a scenic hike through Mkussu Forest, a biodiversity-rich area filled with indigenous trees, colorful birds, butterflies and primates including black-and-white colobus and vervet monkeys.
Continue your ascent toward Vuli Peak (Kwemashai Viewpoint – 1,500m), where breathtaking panoramic views of Lushoto town and the surrounding valleys await. This is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your picnic lunch.
Descent to Kisasa Waterfalls
After lunch, descend through local villages including Vuli and Mbula Mamoyo, offering a glimpse into everyday rural life.
Arrive at the spectacular Kisasa Waterfalls, cascading approximately 75 meters down steep rock faces. Enjoy the refreshing atmosphere, take photos and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Usambara Mountains.
Return via Dochi Village After the waterfall experience, hike up to Dochi Village, where your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your accommodation.
