MAASAI CULTURAL TOUR

This is a day cultural tour that will take you to the Usambara mountains foothills of Mombo minor town at Mlembule village.

Recently there are very few tribes in Tanzania that are yet embracing their culture and taboos vigorously and Maasai is amongst them. On this tour you will do a self transfer from your Lodge for a meet-up at the Lushoto bus terminal thereafter board a public passenger buses till Mombo minor town.

We will hike from here 8km which will take us 2:30hrs to reach Daudi Kiseri Lenyika Boma. 

You will hear some good stories about maasai culture, nice melody of maasai songs, learn and see how they maintain a large stock of cattle, learn how the maasai women construct their domestic houses using sticks, cow dung and bush glasses, learn their way of dressing, their diet, learn how they arrange their marriage ceremonies and do some hands on activities like holding a maasai spear and throw it, go with a maasai woman to milk a cow and so forth.

At noon hour we hike back to Mombo minor town to take our public bus to Lushoto
